Seared Brussels Sprouts
  • From Gross to Yummy
Let's Get Searing
  • Wash and chop the Brussels sprouts in half
  • Toss into a non-stick pan with a small amount of water (I keep a water bottle nearby to add squirts as needed)
  • Steam these for about 3 minutes on medium-high, with a lid on (this softens them up)
  • Then remove the lid and let remaining water cook off is there is some
  • Add 2 Tablespoon of butter
  • Toss them around in the butter when it melts
  • Now hit them with Cajun powder, salt and black pepper
  • Sear them until they blackish on the outside, like the picture above
  • Serve with a dipping sauce if this is an appetizer 
  • Otherwise it makes a great side dish
  • Enjoy!
